As recommended and used by Ferrari/Lamborghini in the 90's this 10w40 was extensively used.
Lamborghini: Diablo 5.7 V12
Ferrari: Mondial T, F355, 348, 456, 550 early
Please note:
V12 Ferrari's post "Modificata" (456M, later 550, all 575 & 612) switched to Shell helix ultra 5w40.
Late model Diablo with 6.0L engine's use ether 5w40 for light duty or 10w50 for heavy duty although 10w60 is suitable for extreme use.
NSX:
Officially NSX uses 10w30, 5w30 or 5w40 (depending on region and year, but all engines are exactly the same)
We in the shop use 5w40 for standard use in NSX, but would suggest 10w40 for high mileage and aggressive use.
10w50/60 is not recommended.
